With only thirty minutes to spare before a friend dropped by for a visit, I walked around my neighborhood and took a few long-exposure shots in the late night.

The 5D Mark II definitely is an superior camera to the original 5D.  But does it feel as groundbreaking as the original 5D felt to me when I upgraded?  Not really.  The original 5D was a sort of an epiphany of what a DSLR was capable of doing.  The Mark II just keeps that and gives you a few million more pixels and a wider ISO range to play with.

I suppose that’s a good thing, but in a way, I’d kinda hoped the Mark II would blow me away.  (Considering the cash I dropped on that thing).  Since it didn’t, I’ll just have to work harder and come up with some photos that blow me away.
