Can You Believe It?

Just like, a week left before GWB is out of office. This, of course is occuring eight years, and two elections too late, but I’ll take what I can get.
I really don’t envy Obama right now. He’s not even in office yet, but he’s already looking to tackle two wars, an imploding economy, staggering national deficts, ballooning Medicare and Social Security defict, a intractible situation w/ Gaza-Israel that’s about to boil over, and those are just the “knowns”. Who knows what else will occur in the coming days?

It was amazingly beautiful here in San Francisco over the weekend. Warm, sunny and just downright pleasant. A wonderful change from freezing my nipples off in Minneapolis.
I told myself I’d never go back home for any extended time during the winter. I’m just too miserable when it’s too cold out. I’m already thin-blooded enough. Any little draft gets me all chilly and it doesn’t matter how many sweaters I pile on, I’m still cold, cold and cold!
I contrasted that to when I was in Minneapolis last May for my brother’s wedding. It was so much more agreeable for me. I could go out and enjoy myself. I stayed a whole month and hardly noticed the time flying by.
So going forward, I’m heading home for Christmas – two, three days tops. Then get the hell out.
Extended stays – during the spring, summer or fall!

So what’s up for the new year? A much more quiet start for this one than last year. A year ago to this date, I was partying my ass off in New Orleans with the Tulliers, halfway trough my epic road trip.
I kinda miss the road trips. I miss traveling. I’ll have to set up one for this year.. but I think I’ll do it during the summer. Just need to figure out a destination, and a mode of transportation…

it’s surprisingly COLD here right now but I’m sure nothing in comparison to Minnesota’s winter. Ha! It was good seeing those photos from New Orleans again – already a year ago! I love the third photo on this entry.

hey tim,
i second hui’s suggestion. check out the link first at http://video.deafnation.com/sports/games/2009deaflympics/2009-deaflympics-kickoff/
this 2009 deaflympic looks good promise to. pls start to save your $ for visiting your good friend, hui there in asia then he perhaps joins to fly with you to taipei, taiwan. come on, life is short and this would be once lifetime for you to taste asia’s culture.
i am positive that we perhaps will be there too. hope to see your ass over there too.
just put your plug-in silver film dream on hold then save more $ for traveling in asia. remember, plug-in always will be there next year.
